Rondon was born in Caracas, Venezuela on September 16, 1989. He is over 6 feet tall and plays as a forward, he has been one of the best signings this season in the Spanish League scoring 14 goals in 30 appearances for lowly Malaga. He started his career with Venezuelan side, Aragua, at the age of 17, and in two seasons with the club from 2006-2008, he made 49 appearances scoring 15 goals. In 2008, Rondon moved to Spanish Segunda (Spanish Second Division) side, Las Palmas. He spent another two seasons with the club, from 2008-2010, making 46 appearances and scoring 10 goals. After spending two seasons with Las Palmas, he moved to the Primera Division with Malaga on July, 19 2010. He has been a good signing for the club and has been a thorn to many La Liga sides this season, scoring 14 goals in 30 matches.
Rondon is known for being a pacy, dynamic forward, who on his day can cause the opposition all sorts of problems. He has good height and build which makes it tougher on defenses to mark him. Rondon is also Venezuelan international, making 11 appearances and scoring 4 goals so far. In my opinion, Rondon is still a young player and is not the finished article, he is a gem, but not polished yet. If Rondon continues with his progress at the rate he’s going, he’ll become a top-class player…. sooner rather than later. His value in my opinion ranges from 6-10 million pounds.
Update: I heard reports that he has signed for Newcastle on a four-year deal…. can anyone please confirm or deny the reports…. it’ll be greatly appreciated.
