Today has been quite a day, filled with interesting transfer rumors, gossip, speculation, and news surrounding the Gunners. There is some interesting and exciting developments in Arsenal’s interest in Valencia’s Juan Mata. Without further ado, here is the Arsenal Transfer News Roundup.
Arsenal Closing In On Mata
According to many sources, the Gunners are closing in on Valencia star, Juan Mata. Mata, impressed last season with Valencia and in the U-21 European Championships with Spain. There are conflicting reports on how much the Gunners will pay to secure his signature, the reports range it from 13-18 million pounds.
If this transfer does happen, then the Gunners would have made two of the biggest steals of the summer, in Gervinho for around 10 million pounds and Mata for around 18 million pounds. Mata, would be an excellent signing for the Gunners, who’s able to play in a variety of positions, and I would be absolutely delighted if he were to join.
Let’s hope the reports are true.
Bendtner To Be Unveiled As A Sporting Player On Saturday
According to a Portuguese report and via Arseblog, Nicklas Bendtner is closing in on a move to Portuguese giant, Sporting Lisbon and will be unveiled officially on Saturday. Sporting has shown plenty of interest for Bendtner, ever since he announced that he’s looking to leave the Gunners, and it looks like they finally got their man.
If Bendtner is really on his way to Sporting, I wish Bendtner the best of luck with his new club.
Arsenal Interested In De Rossi
According to a Italian report, Arsenal, along with Chelsea and Man City are interested in signing AS Roma and Italian international midfielder, Daniele De Rossi. De Rossi, has one year left on his contract and is reportedly looking for a move to the Premier League. De Rossi is reportedly valued at around 14 million pounds.
Despite his rather poor form last season with AS Roma, De Rossi is still a quality player, who’s an excellent passer and tough tackler, as well as being an excellent leader. His reported value, is quite cheap for a player of his quality and could be a great signing and steal for the Gunners.
Denilson Believes Fabregas Will Stay
According to Denilson himself, Fabregas will stay a Gunner and won’t move this summer.
He said to Sky Sports: “I think it’s very important because the fans, the staff at Arsenal, everyone loves Cesc and I think he’s going to stay.”
Here’s a short video of Denilson’s interview with Sky Sports:
What do you think? Do you believe in the reports of Mata joining the Gunners? Should the Gunners go for De Rossi? What are your thoughts on Bendtner closing in on a move away from the Gunners? Should we believe what Denilson says?
Please share your thoughts and opinions.
Cheers and take care,
