It has been quite a few interesting and fascinating days of transfer news, rumors, gossip, and speculation surrounding the Gunners. The most interesting piece of news, was Sky Sports “understanding that Samir Nasri wants to leave Arsenal”, moments after Sky Sports Italia reported that a bid was accepted from Manchester City to acquire Nasri’s services, for around 23 million pounds. This rumor was denied and rebuffed by Tim Payton, who’s a reliable source and therefore, will not be covered in this roundup.
There is still some fascinating transfer news, however, so without further ado….here is the Arsenal Transfer News Roundup.
Arsenal Interested In Rodallega
According to Wigan and Colombian international striker, Hugo Rodallega. The Gunners are interested in acquiring his services and monitoring his progress. Rodallega also states that Everton, Villareal and Sevilla have also shown interest in him. Arsenal have long been linked to Hugo Rodallega, so this piece of news is not surprising. Rodallega is an excellent player in my opinion, and would do well with the Gunners. He’s reportedly valued by Wigan at around 15 million pounds.

Wellington Will Re-Sign For Levante
According to the reliable, Young Guns Blog, Wellington Silva will be on loan again next season with Levante. Wellington, spent last season on loan with the same club and will head back to Spain for a medical, ahead of his move. The report also states that talks are still ongoing with Levante, over a proposed loan move for Pedro Botelho, who impressed last season with Cartagena. I believe that another loan spell will benefit both players, who need as much games as possible. I would have loved to see them both in action, at least during pre-season, but I think another loan spell will benefit them more in the long run. I wish them the best of luck.

Arsenal Interested In Serbian Youngster Lukic
According to The Sun, Arsenal along with Chelsea and Manchester United, are interested in signing 18 year old Serbian, Nenad Lukic who plies his trade with Lokomotiv Plodiv. The 6’1″ midfielder played a key role in helping the Serbia U-19 squad, in reaching the European U-19 championship in Romania. He is reportedly worth around 130,000 pounds. From what I’ve read and heard about Lukic, he is a bright talent, who is good dribbler, an excellent left foot and a decent set piece taker. Definitely one for the future and at that low cost, he could be an excellent bargain.
Here’s a video, displaying his talents:
What do you think? Would you like to see Rodallega as a Gunner? What are your opinions on new loan spells for Wellington and Botelho? Do you want Wenger to sign another youngster?
Please share your thoughts and opinions.
Cheers and take care,
