Hello everyone,

Today has been quite a day of transfer news, gossip, rumors and speculation surrounding the Gunners. There are interesting and fascinating transfer news, especially surrounding Denilson’s future as a Gunner. Without further ado, here is the Arsenal Transfer News Roundup.

Denilson On His Way To Sao Paulo

Denilson… on his way back to Sao Paulo

The big news today, as many Brazilian news sources and reports have confirmed that Denilson is on his way back to his former club, Sao Paulo, on a one-year loan. Reports also state that Denilson will have a medical this week. and that Sao Paulo beat off competition from rival clubs, Santos and Fluminense for his signature.

This piece of news will delight most fans as he is largely unpopular, due to his performances in the past few seasons. Denilson needs a change of scenery and a fresh start, so I believe this move is not only positive for the club and most fans, but for Denilson himself. I wish him the best of luck in Sao Paulo.

Arsenal Interested In Campbell

Campbell… interesting the Gunners

No, it’s not Arsenal legend Sol Campbell, but Costa Rica’s rising star, Joel Campbell. Campbell, who impressed in the Copa America, has one year left on his contract and has been impressive with his club, Saprissa. It’s said that Arsenal’s club executive, Richard Law, is in Costa Rica to seal out the deal and his agent has confirmed Arsenal’s interest in the player.

From what I’ve read and heard about Joel Campbell, he seems like an excellent prospect. He’s described by Jamie Sanderson, owner and editor of the reliable Young Guns Blog through Twitter, as “pacy, strong, a handful, plays on the shoulder and an emphatic finisher.” It is believed that Saprissa value him at around 2 million pounds.

Here’s a video of Joel Campbell, displaying his talents:

Arsenal In For Lukaku

Lukaku…. Gunners linked with a bid for his services

In an interesting report by The Sun, Arsenal are very interested in signing Belgian sensation, Romelu Lukaku, from Anderlecht. The Sun state that Lukaku’s agent met with Arsenal officials in London and have tabled a 14 million pound bid for his services.

Lukau would be an excellent signing for the Gunners, he’s all the physical attributes to succeed with the Gunners and is good with the ball in his feet, and an excellent finisher; a top quality talent. Despite this, I still have my doubts with the report especially as it’s coming from The Sun and I doubt that Wenger is looking for a striker, especially with the signing of Gervinho, the likelihood of Carlos Vela staying and Arsenal’s apparent interest in Joel Campbell.
