Today has been a relatively quiet day, regarding transfer news, rumors, gossip, and speculation surrounding the Gunners. Without further ado, here is the Arsenal Transfer News Roundup.
Eboue In Talks With Galatasaray
According to various reports, Arsenal’s versatile right-back and Ivorian international, Emmanuel Eboue, is in talks with Turkish giants Galatasaray. Eboue, has been heavily touted to leave the Gunners, and was also linked with Queen Park Rangers this summer.
In my opinion, it’s very likely that Eboue will leave this summer, as he’s way down the pecking order with the Gunners and he needs and deserves to play regular football. If he leaves, he’ll leave with my respect, he’s given his all for the club and I’ve always loved his passion to play for the Gunners. He’ll be missed and I wish him the best of luck.
Eboue is reportedly valued at around 5 million pounds.

Wenger Confirms That He Is Looking For A New Defender
The most positive news today, as Wenger confirmed to Arsenal.com that he is pursuing a new central defender.
Here is what he said, courtesy of Arsenal.com:
“I can promise we work very hard on it. In fairness, everybody looks for players. Everybody looks for the same area and you see that nobody turns up with magic. It’s all about being steady, working very hard on it and being calm as well.
“I don’t want to comment individually because I do not want to destabilise clubs. I do not want to do to other clubs what some clubs do to us so I wouldn’t like to comment individually on any player.”
