Arsenal v Stoke (Prediction 3-0)
It would be so Arsenal to lose this game. The Gunners ended a run of three league losses in a row when beating Watford 3-0 a few Sunday’s ago.
The manner of the performance probably surprised many given what we’ve all come to expect of Arsenal in recent seasons. Stoke, well nothing’s changed? From a result’s point-of-view, absolutely nothing has changed since Paul Lambert replaced Mark Hughes.
It’s looking like a poor managerial appointment. Is that surprising? Who really appoints Paul Lambert in 2018 when trying to get out of trouble? Arsenal will have a field day.
Chelsea v Tottenham (Prediction 2-1)
Chelsea hold the strong record in games between these two and tend to be difficult to beat at Stamford Bridge, specifically in the bigger games. Likewise, Spurs tend to find it difficult on the road against the ‘top six’.
Tottenham are the form team heading into this, having won five of their last six league games and drawing the other. The Blues have won just two of their last six, with four losses.
This game is a must-win for Chelsea and I think they will duly deliver, they have a fighting chance in the race for the top four, with Liverpool having played two games more.
One loss from the eighteen-time champions of England, would leave Conte’s men just one point behind (providing they win the two games in hand). I’m siding with the home team in this match.
