It has not been the busiest of transfer window for Celtic so far and it doesn’t seem like anything might change before the close of the transfer market. The Scottish league seems settled already and Celtic are almost guaranteed of lifting the trophies.
However, other positions are still up for grab in the league. So other teams are still likely going to reinforce to avoid relegation or push for a Europa league play off depending on the half of the table they are.
However, one of the problem Celtic have been having is that the team finds it difficult to find a perfect player in this window except you’re willing to pay an exorbitant fee or take a gamble on a player that has gotten no game time at his current club.
The second approach seems the most likely root Celtic will take especially if he’s a player coming from the big club but this is a very long process to get a player and it will definitely not always result in the best players.
There is always this feeling the fans always want to have when their club sign a new player and Celtic fans want to enjoy that too this winter. They have seen little of it in recent time. However they have to understand that transfer dealings are much more than just signing and announcing players.
The method of studiously watching their target before signing him is a style that the Hoops have used and have worked for them in the past. It doesn’t seem it will change soon and it doesn’t have to change as long as it brings the trophies that other clubs in Scotland can afford. What’s more important is Brendan Rodgers making good use of the squad he currently have to win the tournament they are currently in.
