Celtic are not giving up on bringing in new signings in before the close of the window. The latest to be added to their squad is Chelsea’s Charly Musonda. The two clubs are set to agree a deal before the end of the transfer window.
Brendan Rodgers have always been a big admirer of Charly Musonda since his time at England and will fancy the chance of bringing him to Park head this winter.
Both teams are in advance stage of negotiations about the transfer of the playmaker after the 21-year-old have been unable to break into the Chelsea team. So a loan deal is a most likely way out at this point in time.
Daily Mail is reporting the deal that Chelsea is willing to let the player go and an 18 month loan deal could be strike by Monday. Musonda last feature for the Blues was a cameo appearance against Brighton and Hoves last weekend.
The aim of Brendan Rodgers is to bring in few quality players from abroad to improve the squad than just signing loads of players within the country that bring little improvement to his squad. Musonda thick the box in terms of quality of player he is searching for.
It was just due to the array of players at Chelsea that have denied the youngster a chance of getting playing time but his talent is not in doubt.
Celtic have to wrap up the delay as soon as possible because La Liga side, Leganes are also in for Musonda services. With his loan experience at Real Betis, he might be considering moving to Spain if a deal is delayed by Celtic.
The Hoops will be hoping to have a good deal similar to what they had when they brought in Manchester City Patrick Roberts for 18 months which was a huge success.
