Celtic seems not to be done in the transfer window this winter as they hope to make more additions to their current squad. The most recent and likely addition is Dundee’s Jack Hendry. Dundee have however rejected the bid the Hoops submitted for the player. Dundee boss, Neil McCann claims that none of his players will be allowed to leave the club.
Claiming that he will reject any attempt by clubs like Celtic to cherry pick their star players for ridiculous amount of money. This is coming after the club rejected Celtic’s bid for Hendry.
It was confirmed that Celtic made a concrete offer for the 22-year-old but it was not close to what the club is willing to consider letting their man go. With just 6 months gone in the 2 years deal he signed when he joined from Wigan, Hendry is unlikely to allow leave the club for just any amount this winter transfer window.
Celtic is expected to up their offer for him but things are still not solid yet on how much they are willing to pay for his services.
In all the speculations so far Hendry have remain calm and focused on improving his game. His manager, Neil McCann also confirmed that the 22-year-old is relaxed about the news around his name. Since join from Wigan last summer, Hendry has played 28 games and scored twice. Not a bad return from a defender.
There are other clubs also interested in his services and anything could still happen before the end of the winter window. Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are two names among host of suitors who are interested in his services.
All that is left to be done is meet any valuation Dundee are putting on him. Hendry will be a great addition to any club especially a club like Celtic who need to strengthen at this point in time.
