Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Dynamo Kiev’s main man Andriy Yarmolenko. Could the Ukraine international be the man to fire the Gunners to the Premier League title this season?

Arsenal, who have already added Mohamed Elneny to their ranks during the window, have been linked with a £20m move for one of Ukraine’s hottest prospects.

The 26-year-old has scored 13 goals and notched up eight assists this term, and is certainly a man on fire at the moment.

Interest from European bigwigs

The winger, who has also been a reported target for Barcelona, Chelsea and Everton of late, is highly sought-after, and looks as though the Premier League will be his most likely destination. And, according to recent reports, it’s the Gunners who are the favourites to land his signature.

So what will the talented midfielder bring to Arsene Wenger and his side? First and foremost, Yarmolenko has had a hand in plenty of Kiev’s goals of late.

He’s extremely skilful and incredibly calm on the ball – he will give Wenger a different option in the wide areas, and he has the potential to be the difference for the Gunners come the end of the season.

Quality player

Although £20m+ seems like a lot of money for a 26-year-old, Yarmolenko has proven his qualities in the Ukrainian Premier League and indeed the Champions League over the last couple of years, and he certainly deserves a big-money move to a huge club.

The Dynamo Kiev boss recently stressed that he was “powerless” to stop his most prized asset from leaving this winter – it just seems to be a case of where Andriy Yarmolenko will turn up.

Could make a difference for the Gunners

If the Gunners do indeed end up winning the race for him, like I said, he could turn out to be the difference between Arsenal winning or losing the title race.
