Arsenal is considered a strong title contender this season. They have what it takes to keep on winning. However, pundits insists that the club needs new reinforcements as Arsenal’s season has not been steady. Will new players bring stability to the team?

Let’s look at ten players who could join Arsenal this January.

1. Gonzalo Higuaín

Arsenal has been linked with Higuaín for a long time and were reportedly close to bringing him to the Emirates before his eventual move to Napoli. However, a source close to the Emirates revealed that the club is preparing a hefty deal for the Argentine forward. He has been in supreme form in front of goal for Napoli since making the move from Real Madrid.

2. Mohamed El Nenny

Arsenal have reportedly agreed a fee for El Nenny. It has been revealed that he might be signed soon after the transfer window opens. The Egyptian is not a typical holding midfielder, but could fix Arsenal’s defensive midfield conundrum since Coquelin’s injury.

3. Lorenzo Insigne

Insigne has scored seven goals and grabbed five assists in less than 15 games this season. He is a valuable asset to Napoli, but Arsenal have set their sights on him. The Gunners are reportedly very interested in the 24-year old as he is expected be a good partner for Oliver Giroud.

4. Javier Hernandez

The former Manchester United striker is ripping apart Bundesliga goalkeepers. However, the Chicharito is still open to a move back to the Premier League. Arsenal had shown interest in the player last transfer window, but failed to land him. They will reportedly try again this term.

5. Nolito

Arsenal midfielder Joel Campbell is a target for La Liga club Celta Vigo and the Gunners are planning to land Celta Vigo’s attacker Notilo as a part of a swap deal.

The 29-year old is also a Barcelona target, but Wenger is reportedly determined to bring him to the Emirates. Nolito has scored seven goals in ten appearances in the La Liga.

6. Victor Wanyama

Wanyama is reportedly Arsenal’s key transfer target. It was speculated that they are going to wait until next season to place a bid but since Coquelin is injured, they desperately want to land a holding midfielder.

7. Jese Rodriguez

Reports in Spain suggest that Arsenal have sent scouts to observe Real Madrid’s Jese Rodriguez. The 22-yer old is struggling at Madrid due to a lack of starts and might agree to a move to Arsenal.

Wenger is reportedly willing to pay up to £29.5m to secure a deal.

8. Victor Osimhen

Despite Wolfsburg promising Osimhen a first team start, the Nigerian is willing to try his luck at Arsenal. The 17-year old is scouted by many clubs and has trained with over five clubs in the last year. It is almost certain that he will be joining Arsenal.
