The international break is finally coming to a close. What does that mean? Premier League is back this week, live and in color. Ahead of their upcoming fixtures, clubs are receiving players entangled with their international commitments and obligations from all corners of this planet.
At the same time, the international break has given clubs much needed respite to focus on their rehabilitation efforts towards their sidelined players. None more so than Arsenal. Football London has revealed that not only will Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin return to action sometime this month, but joining them is long-time absentee: Rob Holding.
The 23 year old has been out of action after being afflicted with a serious knee injury during Arsenal’s 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford last season.
Before then, Holding had been showing real promise and progress in his development and maturation as a potential mainstay in the heart of Arsenal’s defence. Questions have been asked of David Luiz and his partnership with Sokratis ever since the latter’s hapless performance against Liverpool at Anfield.
Holding, a popular figure amongst Arsenal fans, is expected to enjoy a warm welcome back to the Arsenal fold as the tweets below insinuate.

No he is not a van dijk ..
He plays common sense..
He plays calm..
Common sense is much more in demand in arsenal defense than a van dijk
Don’t forget Rob Holding – his return is eagerly awaited more than the other guys. He cld provide some steel – hope he & Saliba will come good— Village Headman (@samnyakudya) September 2, 2019
