Jack Wilshere is set to join the Premier League graveyard and join Turkish side Fenerbahce in January.
TalkSport understands that the former English international has agreed a deal in principal with the Turkish club and will seal a move in January, rather than wait until the summer.
The move would see him link up with former Gunner Robin van Persie and play alongside Tottenham flops Vincent Janssen and Roberto Soldado.
What an unfulfilling career Wilshere has had.
Were it not for constant injuries and his fiery temperament, the midfielder could have made it to the very top – he certainly had the talent for it.
Yet this is another sad case of young talents not realising their potential.
A move to Turkey would mean he can finally escape the clutches of the press. Whether or not he will be able to rebuild his career is a different matter.
One suspects that unless Wilshere reaches great heights in Turkey, this move would also spell the end of his international career.
