BBC: Ozil signs a new three-and-a-half year deal at Arsenal

Yes, you read that headline correctly. This saga looks finally set to come to a close and on a much happier note for Arsenal fans all over the world.

BBC‘s David Ornstein, aka The Oracle, has broken the news that Mesut Ozil has penned a new deal at Arsenal that extends his contract until 2021. According to the BBC report, the Germany international playmaker is set to earn £350,000 a week before tax, which will make him the club’s highest earner.

BBC report that the deal was signed and sealed on Wednesday. His contract extension finally puts this saga to bed. Excellent and welcoming news amidst months of anxiety and worry for the club and their supporters.
