Chelsea have been monitoring the situation of Gonzalo Higuain at Juventus long before they announce the Sarri deal.

Now that the deal is over the line, getting a striker that will lead the line for them is next in line. Alvaro Morata could be heading out of the Bridge after a torrid start to life in England. A move back to Italy where he play for Juventus has been rumored to be on the cards.

Looking at the way the whole deal is interwoven, a swap deal could be on the cards with Higuain moving to Chelsea while Morata moves the other way.

The Ronaldo move to Juventus will also mean that Chelsea will be looking to make some cash back by selling players like Higuain. This could work in Chelsea’s favor. The 30 year old striker will reportedly cost Chelsea in the region of £60m if the deal is to go through.

Daniele Rugani

Juventus seems to be the club Chelsea want to raid to start Sarri’s reign at the club. The next player Chelsea could be looking at is Italian defender, Daniele Rugani. The centre back is rumoured to be on his way to Chelsea if the club can cough out €40m.

What this mean is that Chelsea will have to let go of personnel occupying that department.

Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger, David Luiz and Andreas Christensen all competing for just two or three spots in that department. It is understood Rugani is joining based on a connection with Sarri, which means that he will most likely get the nod to start ahead of the other players.

The season is a long one and every one will have fair chance to prove their quality to the manager. If the deal goes through, Chelsea will be getting a very good defender and also at 23, he is a player that still has a long career ahead of him.

Chelsea are looking at adding a CSKA Moscow player to their fold and after seeing Russian star, Aleksandr Golovin’s World Cup performance, he’s expected to be one player that the club will definitely want at the Bridge.

Arsenal are also interested in the the player but it seems Chelsea are leading in the race to land his services.

This comes after his mother admitted that there is a chance his son could move to Standford Bridge. When asked about her son moving to Chelsea, she said: “Yes, now there are talks between the clubs, but we still do not know the details.”

It will be interesting to see a player like Golovin move to Chelsea and show the world once again his performances at the World Cup weren’t a fluke.
