After Virgil van Dijk finally made his arrival at Liverpool official on the opening day of the January window, Chelsea have completed the signing of Everton’s Ross Barkley.
The England international has reportedly signed on to a five and half year deal with the club. The fee is reportedly valued at £15 million.
Barkley, who has fallen out of favor at his boyhood club, was on the periphery of joining Chelsea last summer for £35 million. However, the deal hit a snag in the final day of the transfer window.
But all that is in the past. Chelsea have finally gotten their man and for a cut-price deal to boot.
Where Barkley will play and how much game-time will he be given remains up in the air, but he should prove to be a useful squad option for Conte as he enters the final and most pivotal hurdle of a very long campaign.
