According to the latest reports, Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has passed a medical ahead of his move to Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda.
As reported by the Daily Express:
“The Nigeria international has fallen out of favour at Chelsea under Antonio Conte this season.
The 29-year-old is yet to play a minute of football for the Blues and hasn’t been included in any match day squad in all competitions.
La Liga side Valencia had been linked with Mikel but his agent quickly dismissed those reports.
But Mikel is still expected to leave Stamford Bridge in January and the Daily Mail say the player is likely to be the latest to ply their trade in China.
It is claimed Mikel has been offered a deal worth around £140,000-per-week by Tianjin, who are managed by former Portuguese footballer Jaime Moreira Pacheco.”
