John Terry could be the latest in the line of Premier League stars joining the dizzying riches of the Chinese Super League.

According to the Daily Mirror, ex-Chelsea boss Andres Villas Boas is keen to reform the partnership he had with Terry whilst at Stamford Bridge.

Boas has just replaced Sven-Goran Eriksson at Shanghai SIPG and is looking to build a formidable squad.

How likely is it?

With Terry now a regular on the Chelsea bench rather than the heart-of-defence, it is apparent Conte does not see him as an important player.

Whilst he is still on an envious wage, the ex-England captain will be frustrated with his current circumstances.

No longer possessing the turn of pace necessary at the highest level, and with his mental capacity to read the game declining, a move to China seems like the right move for a player reaching the final days of his career.

If he were to leave London for Shanghai, he would link up with Brazilian forward Hulk and establish a fairly daunting spine for the Chinese club.
