According to the latest reports, Chelsea are seriously interested in signing Fenerbahce’s Denmark international defender Simon Kjaer in January.
As reported by the Daily Star:
“Numerous reports from Turkey have linked with the 27-year-old Denmark international with a move to Stamford Bridge for some time.
Now ESPN claim that the Blues have been tracking the centre-back this season but are yet to launch an offers for him.
They claim that Kjaer is happy in Turkey and that Fenerbahce do not want to sell their man.
But it is said that a hefty offer could tempt the Turkish giants into opening talks.
Kjaer has made 18 appearances for Dick Advocaat’s side so far this season, scoring three times.
Fenerbahce are currently fourth in the Super Lig table and face Genclerbirligi this evening.
Antonio Conte is keen to add another defender to his ranks in January and has missed out on several targets recently.”
