Chelsea midfielder Oscar is set to join the exodus to the Chinese Super League this January. The BBC are reporting that he is close to agreeing a deal with Shanghai SIPG.
Oscar told local media that the deal is 90% done and “depends upon a few bureaucratic details”.
He would join Hulk, Ramires, Demba Ba, Lavezzi and Pelle in swapping Europe’s elite for China’s emerging league.
Oscar would link up with former manager Andres Villas Boas and would join an attacking force already including Hulk.
Shanghai SIPG have also been rumoured to be interested in the signing of John Terry as Villas Boas looks to build a formidable squad.
The purported fee of £60 million would mean a substantial profit for Chelsea, having signed Oscar for £25 million.
The Brazilian has played 202 times for the London outfit, winning the Premier League, Europa League and League Cup.
Oscar will become the 16th most expensive player in footballing history and is likely to earn a salary in excess of £300,000 a week.
