Liverpool are looking to bring Turkey international Arda Turan to Anfield as he grows unhappy with life at Barcelona.

Despite featuring fairly regularly for the Catalan giants this year, the midfielder is said to be frustrated at finding himself on the bench as he struggles to compete with Luis Enrique’s star-studded midfield.

Signing for Barcelona in 2015, the midfielder had to wait a year for the transfer ban to pass before he could don the red and blue stripes of Barcelona.

Was Barca the wrong decision?

It seems the wait wasn’t worth it.

As reported by the Guardian, Jurgen Klopp could be about to exploit the situation and add greater potency to an attacking midfield that has left Premier League defenders at their mercy this season.

Turan appears to be a perfect fit for Klopp: his intensity and great work rate complement Klopp’s pressing philosophy, whilst he also has a spice of flair that would ensure the Red’s attack would not be short of options when going forward.

Does this pave the way for a Coutinho exit?

Interest in Turan has sparked doubts over the future of star-man Philippe Coutinho who has attracted the eye of Real Madrid.

Many see Turan’s possible arrival as a replacement for Madrid-bound Coutinho.
