According Red Bull Leipzig’s sporting director Ralf Rangnick, Liverpool target Emil Forsberg is not for sale in January.

The Sweden international forward has scored five times and contributed eight assists for his teammates in 12 appearances so far this season.

As reported by the Metro:

“Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is thought to be in the mark for some attacking reinforcements as influential winger Sadio Mane departs to compete in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Hasan Cetinkaya, Forsberg’s agent, fueled speculation by claiming the 25-year-old could be open to a move this month – a claim that Leipzig’s Rangnick has dismissed.

‘I can promise you that Emil will be here until [the end of the season] in any case,’ he said. ‘And hopefully for a long period after that, too.’”
