Liverpool are set to pinch Moussa Dembele from former-boss Brendan Rodgers.

Glasgow Live are reporting that Jurgen Klopp will table a £20 million bid for the Celtic star.

Eager to add firepower to an attack that builds the foundation of their title challenge, Klopp has sent scouts to watch Dembele several times.

Salary boost

Liverpool are willing to boost Dembele’s salary from £15 thousand to £60 thousand, a substantial rise and one that would certainly turn the 20 year-old’s eye.

With Sturridge out in the cold, Coutinho injured and Firmino preferred as a no.9, Dembele would be an automatic pick.

He has already netted seventeen times this season for The Hoopers and his consistent ability to find the back of the net has attracted a host of big clubs.

Premier League glamour could be too tempting

Having already turned down lucrative offers from Spurs and Arsenal already, Brendan Rodgers feels assured Dembele will stay at Parkhead.

Yet, the tempting glamour of the Premier League allied with a guaranteed starting place and a huge pay rise might just be enough to lure the striker to Anfield.
