Manchester City - the Premier League giants have made a strong start to the 2017-18 season with 6 victories in their opening 7 fixtures.

While they are at the top of the table, they have been relentless in their playing style with the new summer signings of Benjamin Mendy and Bernardo Silva as midfielders, Danilo and Kyle Walker as defenders, and Ederson as goalkeeper.

With an experienced and talented squad of the team, coach Pep Guardiola has some tough choices to make. Manchester City has scored 17 goals and conceded none in their previous Premier League games.

Driving force

The driving force of the team, Sergio Aguero has scored six goals and three assists in the six games he has played this season.

Aguero, who returned to training after suffering from rib injury due to a road accident, has bolstered their squad. He has been committed towards the club and hopes to lead the side to European glory.

For a while, the club has also been eyeing Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez. Sanchez’s recent substitution in vital games and his bad track record recently has made the Chilean eager to move out soon.

With the winter transfer window approaching, Wenger has made it clear that a transfer may be done if his contract extension doesn’t happen.

Massive gain

If Manchester City managed to sign Sanchez, it will be a massive gain for the club.

Their line is already strong with Aguero and Gabriel Jesus taking the lead, each having scored six goals along with a few assists.

Sanchez has the speed as well as the ability to score more than 20 goals every season. If he does decide to switch to Manchester City, he will fit well with their distinct style of attack. Moreover, he could be the perfect heir to carry on Aguero’s legacy.

Looking for greener pastures

Earlier, Sanchez suffered a setback when Chile didn’t qualify for the World Cup and playing in the Europa League with Arsenal.

He might want to switch places from the 5th placed Arsenal to the current league leaders, Manchester City.

Seems destined to depart

Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger will try everything from his side to ensure Arsenal doesn’t lose a talent like him especially to their Premier League rivals.

But it seems like Manchester City have already decided to get him on board — either for a fee in the winter transfer window or as a free agent at the end of the season.

In the end, the onus is on Arsenal to decide if they want to accept a mega bid for him or not.
