Exclusive: Manchester City closely following an Ethiopian wonderkid

Two weeks after he was enlisted into the Football-Wonderkids database, O-Posts can now reveal that Naanol ”Naani” Tesfaye is being closely followed by Manchester City and Leeds United along with other top European sides.

New sources tell us that the 14 year old talent has also been approached by the FA in Ethiopia to potentially represent the under-17 squad at the CAF African Nations Under-17 Tournament. Ethiopian Football Federation president Mr Juneidi Basha has been keeping a close eye on him.

Naani holds both Swedish and Ethiopian passports. He started his career at his local club in Ethiopia before moving to the academy in Vasalund, where he joined the under-13 squad.

In 2016, he received great interest and was scouted by the Nordic Football Academy also known as IF Stockholm where he and his family decided to join their under-14 squad.

In 2017 he moved back to Vasalund to join their under-15 squad and is now receiving interest from other academies abroad, especially in England.

His team for the upcoming season is yet to be decided but I can tell you that he is looking to be a big prospect in youth football. We wish him well and all the best of luck.
