Ronald Koeman will begin negotiations with exiled West Brom striker Saido Berahino next month.
Berahino is able to talk to interested parties next month as his contract is up in June; with his time at the Baggies marred by controversy, the forward will be looking to tie up a deal as quickly as possible.
However, the Everton manager faces serious competition for the 23 year-old’s signature, according to the Daily Mail.
“Berahino, who has made just five appearances this term, has the likes of Roma, Inter Milan and Nice monitoring his progress.”
Koeman’s side have been struggling to click this season, with glimpses of brilliance married with moments of absurdity.
It is the manager’s hope that the addition of Berahino in the summer would support Romelu Lukaku going forward, adding firepower to an attack that has stalled and stuttered thus far.
Yet, if Koeman is looking for a new striker, it is only inevitable that rumours start begin surrounding Romelu Lukaku.
One of Europe’s top strikers, the Belgian forward has always been an attraction for big clubs; finally beginning to show his potential, the hit-man’s exit could be paved by the incoming for Berahino.
