Moussa Sissoko has been one of the most underrated players in the whole of the Euro 2016, as the player did exceptionally well for his French national side as it can be now seen by his hefty price tag.

It is now reported that freshly relegated side Newcastle United’s boss Rafael Benitez looks to keep hold of his key player, but if any club come calling, Newcastle will only let go of the player if the club is ready to shell out a heavy £35 million to secure the French international’s signature.

Price jump

Having signed for the Magpies for an easy sum of £1.5 million back in 2013, Sissoko’s value has skyrocketed as he was lauded for his performances and overall contribution which even resulted in helping his home side reach the finals of the Euros.

When talking to French website Foot Mercato, Sissoko clearly expressed his desire that he wants to play in the Champions League and even went on to describe Arsene Wenger’s side to be a “beautiful” club.

According to L’Equipe, he said: “Newcastle could ask for £35 million? It could be 20, for me it changes nothing. The interested clubs will know how to find common ground. I hope that it will be as early as possible.”

Fine Euro showing

After his excellent performance against Portugal in the Euro 2016 finals, Sissoko has gathered a lot of interest, particularly from Premier League clubs.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton and Spurs are on alert as they will try their best to rescue the 26 year midfielder and offer him top flight football.

L’Equipe also report that Moussa Sissoko is “very close” to a move to Borussia Dortmund, with the German giants also looking to save Mario Gotze by signing him back from the Allianz Arena.

No rush to sell

When talking about Georginio Wijnaldum and Moussa Sissoko, Rafael Benitez told Sky Sports News HQ: “We want to keep them, so I will not talk about money. We want the right balance and we will make the right decision for the club.”

Here, it can be very well seen that the Spaniard has no intention to sell his best pair at the club and looks to keep hold of them.

As by the current situation, Newcastle United haven’t really received any offers for wantaway duo of Sissoko and Wijnaldum.

With Sissoko being monitored by a number of teams, Spurs look to lead the race for Wijnaldum as the White Hart Lane looks to be his preferred destination.
