Spurs are interested in poaching Watford star Richarlison, according to Football.London.
Mauricio Pochettino is purportedly monitoring the youngster, with the Brazlian having taken the Premier League by storm since his switch to London over the summer.
Four goals and 10 starts in 11 games has seen the forward become an integral member of Marco Silva’s vibrant Watford side.
Richarlison is believed to be targeting a place in the highly-competitive Brazilian squad for this summer’s World Cup, and if included his price will soar; thus, Spurs are weighing up whether a move in January would be more financially beneficial.
Pace, trickery and potency, Richarlison has the attributes to flourish under Pochettino’s enterprising and expansive footballing ideology.
Spurs might be fighting for the title come January – if leaders Manchester City begin to slip – and bolstering their attack with Richarlison would do their ambitions no harm.
A move in January makes so much sense on two levels; not only would it add much needed depth to a squad that will be fighting on several fronts, but Spurs would be able to sign him for a fee that will look a bargain should he flourish into the player his potential promises.
