Tottenham: Can the club lift the league title next season?

Chelsea managed a record 30 wins in a single season, second highest winning points total ever beating their own previous record.

They beat Sunderland at home 5 – 1 on the last day and showed why they were worthy winners of the English Premier League title.

To cap off this remarkable campaign they have a chance to win the double if they beat Arsenal in the FA Cup final, which they of course didn’t.

Things have not looked better for the Blues and it is going to be hard for Spurs to overtake them to become top dogs of London.

Keeping the men that matter

Chelsea will not need to make too many changes over the summer transfer window. Their main priority will be making sure that Hazard and Costa stay.

The two players have been one of the main reason the Blues managed to secure the title. If both leave they will be extremely hard to replace and could greatly affect their chances of retaining the title.

They will probably look for at least three players during the transfer window as they need a center back to replace club legend, John Terry. They could also do with another creative midfielder along with a striker to add competition.

Remarkable campaign

Spurs have had a remarkable campaign and have smashed many club records along the way. The 1 – 7 win on the last day away at Hull was their highest ever in the club’s history and a great way to end the campaign.

They can count themselves unlucky for not winning the English Premier League this season as on eight previous occasions 83 points would have secured the title.

It is the club’s highest finish since 1963 and if Harry Kane had not missed part of the season through injuries, it may have been a different outcome.

He has been on fire and managed to score yet another hat-trick in the last match against Hull. That makes it six hat-tricks for the season and 29 goals in 30 matches.

He won the golden boot for the second time in a row and the great thing for Spurs fans is he loves the club so much that wants to stay.

Tottenham must do whatever to keep their star players

Tottenham also does not need to do much business this summer. They will need a backup striker for Harry Kane as that is what cost them the title this campaign.

It is also rumored that Kyle Walker may be off so they will need to find another fullback if he does go. The team spirit is amazing at White Hart Lane and most of the star players seemed settled at the club which is great for Spurs fans.

They should be able to hold onto Alli, Kane, Eriksen which if they can do they will be in with a great chance once again to win the English Premier League.

Many football tips for today sites have Chelsea the favorite to finish above Spurs next season. A lot will depend on the transfer dealing of the clubs.

It will also be interesting to see if Chelsea can keep the title next season as they will have to cope with Champions League football once again next campaign.

Tottenham if they are going to improve need to take their unbeaten home record at White Hart Lane this season across London to Wembley.

They do not have a good record at the England’s team national stadium and will need to change they are going to overtake the Blues.
