Newcastle United’s winning goal was scored Matt Ritchie. It was the summer signing’s eighth English Championship goal this season.

With their win, Newcastle United temporarily leapfrog Brighton and Hove Albion into the top of the English Championship table while Derby County drop to eighth position in the table.
