The UEFA Champions League Final match is always the most eagerly expected soccer game, with the possible exception of the World Cup Final – and even that’s only every four years.

Real Madrid vs Juventus is not the exception, and just by default; it truly has the makings of a clash that could go into the annals of the sports and be talked about for a long time – or at least until next year.

What are some of the things that make the Real Madrid vs Juventus finale so special? Let’s take a look at them below.

Buffon’s time?

The night of June 3rd could be the culmination of one of the most celebrated careers – and one of the most decorated even without the UCL trophy –; that of longstanding Juve goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

Champions League honors is the only thing missing in Buffon’s resume, which is not devoid of controversy either – which is to be expected after 20-plus years in one of the most competitive leagues in the world.

Buffon has been key to Juventus’ lasting success, and the 2017 UCL has been no different; Gigi accumulated 600 minutes without conceding a goal, ranking him fifth for the longest clean sheet run by a goalie in the competition.

Juve’s defence vs Real’s attack

Speaking of which, the collision between the Italian defense and the Spanish attack will be the proverbial meeting between the irresistible force and the unmovable object.

One example will suffice; Juve’s defense managed to keep the usually lethal Barcelona goalless over 190 minutes.

The question is, can they do the same with Madrid? In particular Cristiano Ronaldo, who is as deadly as he has ever been – scoring eight goals in the quarterfinals and semis against Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.

While Real leads the tournament with 32 goals, Juventus has allowed the fewest goals (3). The online soccer betting odds are always impacted by statistics like these.

Allegri vs Zidane

The Real Madrid vs Juventus battle will not be waged just on the pitch, though.

Expert tacticians Zinedine Zidane and Massimiliano Allegri will play a figurative chess match the likes of which have not been seen since Antonious Bock and The Grim Reaper in The Seventh Seal.

When you bet on soccer games online, analyzing everything going on in the head coaches head is a must.

The Frenchman has won the Champions League, European Super Cup and Club World Cup in a year and a half, and he could still be considered a rookie manager. On the other hand, Allegri has led the Zebras to the Serie A championship in all of his three seasons with the team.

Higuain has something to prove

Not unlike teammate Buffon, former Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain has quite the chip on his shoulder. The Argentine became a star in six seasons with the Whites, and then he became a falling star.

Higuain has found redemption in Italy, however, scoring 32 goals already in 50 appearances with the Old Lady – including key goals in the first leg of the semis versus Monaco.

Like compatriot Lionel Messi, Higuain has come under fire for underwhelming in the big games, such as the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Copa America Centenario finals. The club scene could be where it’s at for him though, and what biggest stage than Millennium Stadium?

So, if you are the type of soccer fan that likes to bet on games online, the Real Madrid vs Juventus is a final you will not want to miss action on.
