Agreement reached: €40m Italian star may be heading to Arsenal

After years of success in the Serie A, Juventus are not willing to give up their hopes of winning another Scudetto by selling one of their best defensive assets. Daniel Rugani is one of Juventus’ most prominent prospects going into the future.

The Italian giants are not ready to let go of the 23-year-old defender despite keen interest from Arsenal and a host of other top clubs around Europe.

With Tuttosport via Sportwitness reporting that, the Old Lady have been subject to bids every transfer window for Rugani with Arsenal constantly among the admirers. Napoli have also shown interest in him but the report claims that English club’s offer has been the most tempting at €40m.

Manchester United are also in the mix for the defender. This Tuttosport report is in line with an earlier report this year stating that the Italian defender has been on Arsenal’s radar.

The reports earlier this year believed Arsenal might have been scared off because of the fees that were quoted above €30m. However, in 2015, Sport Witness reported that Rugani might consider a move to England but we don’t know if he still holds that same position.

It could be due to a lack of playing time or the pure desire to play in the Premier League. Whichever the case, for Arsenal to get the defender, an extremely huge offer had to be tabled for Juve to consider at this moment.
