#EmeryOut - why some Arsenal fans have lost faith in the Gaffer

Arsenal two, Watford nil. That was the score at half-time at Vicarage Road. That was the score at half-time. Smooth-sailing and a comfortable three points on the platter, right?

Well, no, of course not. This is Arsenal we’re talking about, a team long hampered by mental fragility and the frequent meltdown. Arsenal lived up to that billing with a second-half implosion that saw Watford erase the two-goal deficit and justly claim a well-deserved 2-2 draw in front of their home support.

Watford registered 31 shots throughout the encounter and were extremely unfortunate not to bag the full three points. David Luiz and Sokratis committed two inexcusable errors that yet again raised questions over their compatibility and reliability as the starting center-halves for a premier English side.

The buck doesn’t stop there as Unai Emery once again exposed his tactical ineptitude and gutlessness. The Spaniard opted to set the team in a narrow diamond formation, benched Torreira in favor of the under-fire Xhaka, and took the influential Ceballos off early on in the second half astounding many an Arsenal fan. Emery’s perplexing decisions has angered Arsenal fans on more than one occasion, with some voicing their disgust and even, understandably, imploring for his sacking under the hashtag #EmeryOut.
