Mo Salah: Liverpool must reject Real Madrid’s advances for the Egyptian

Mo Salah could be set for a sensational switch to Real Madrid, just months after joining Liverpool.

The speculation has been stirred by Egyptian national team boss who said this:

I’ve received confirmed news revealing Real Madrid’s interest in Salah, but let’s not rush things. To me, he is in an amazing position right now.”

The Verdict

This is a staggering story and one that will undoubtedly ruffle a few feathers.

Salah has been in electric form since switching Rome for Anfield, tearing apart Premier League defences and emerging as one of the most potent and vibrant forwards in the league.

He has scored 17 goals in just 21 appearances, which is already more than Liverpool’s top scorer for the last three seasons.

The Egyptian signed a five-year-deal in the summer, but Liverpool could be about to become embroiled in another protracted transfer saga much like the one with Philippe Coutinho.

Liverpool refused to budge on the Brazilian, despite staggering sums being offered, and they should do the same for Salah.

Alongside Kevin De Bruyne, Salah has been the best player in the league and he is integral to any hopes Liverpool harbour of silverware this season.
