Why Aubameyang has a better chance to score more goals than Salah next season

The Premier League season is less than four weeks form and the super stars will return to center stage to show what they got while representing their respective clubs. Two players will strike many attention for the new season.

Mo Salah of Liverpool and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang of Arsenal will be two players to watch of for. The two strikers had a sensational campaign with Salah finishing with 44 goals for the Reds while Aubameyang finished with 10 goals from 13 matches for the Gunners.

Salah was in his first season with Liverpool and many never expected him to hit the ground running like that especially looking at his first stint in the Premier League while playing for Chelsea. Now that he has rejuvenated his game and has shown himself to be more prolific, proving his doubters wrong, he has claim his position among elites in the premier league.

Considering Aubameyang’s status and pedigree before joining Arsenal in January, many were expecting him to move last summer to a club like Real Madrid base on his achievement with Borrusia Dortmund. When he eventually joined Arsenal, he hit the ground run immediately in his first game against Everton at the Emirates when he scored in the 5-1 win.

He has established himself into the team now and has also understand the league better. Returning to training early and working with new manager, Unai Emery is what he will fancy and will make the best out of it. Aubameyang is expected to have a better season than Salah when the season resumes. This is due to many factors and none is to disregard the quality of Salah.

Arsenal play a style that allows a centre forward to see lot of the ball. He will be playing behind a creative force that consist of Ozil, Mkhitaryan and Ramsey who seems less interested in getting the huge numbers. History has shown that Arsenal strikers are always banging the goals even if the team is not doing so well.

Consider a system in which the club now have a new set up and everyone work together to make the top striker get the goals, it will be breath taking the number the Gabonese will be mustering next season. This puts him ahead of Salah considering that this will be his second full season at Liverpool. The Egyptian participation in the world cup will also have its toll on how he will start the season. Factor his shoulder injury which he’s just recovering into this and you will understand that he will be needing more time to be at that rhythm he was last season.

In all of this time, Aubamayeng will have obviously move ahead in the goal scoring table.  Considering Liverpool will be playing in the champions league, and Jurgen Klopp will obviously want to use his best legs. This engagement will mean Salah will be actively involved in their European campaign while Arsenal will obviously use the young lads in the early stage of the competition.

This will mean that Aubameyang will be fresher for the premier league games and will be less prone to injury worries. It will be interesting to see how the race for the race for the highest goal scorer will go between these two players.
