“What a signing” - Tottenham fans react to club’s latest announcement

Tottenham Hotspur and betting partner, William Hill, have signed a multi-year extension to their partnership.

The UK-based betting bookmaker is one of the most reputable and well-renowned in the betting industry.

The bookmaker has long planted their foot in the football world as highlighted by their annual William Hill Award, which recognizes the best sports-themed books of the year. Some of the winning publications include football-related books written by the likes of David Goldblatt and Ronald Reng.

The bookmaker, who commenced its relationship with Spurs in 2016, will continue to benefit from a presence on pitchside advertising boards at Tottenham home matches and across the club’s digital channels.

Spurs faithful will in return be able to place bets on the William Hill mobile application via high-density WiFi inside the team’s new stadium, which is due to open in time for the start of the 2018-19 season.

In addition, William Hill will continue to support the Spurs’ Elevator Programme, which has helped young people in the club’s local area to find employment.

The bookmaker has provided a six-figure grant to fund the initiative over the past two years.

Spurs faithful were seemingly not pleased by this latest feat, as they took the opportunity to call for Toby Alderweireld’s contract extension.

The next time you tweet something containing the words ‘multi-year extension’ it better have a massive photo of Toby’s face attached to it.
