West Brom have launched a £10 million bid for Hull City’s Jake Livermore.

Tony Pulis is looking for reinforcements in his midfield, and had earmarked Morgan Schneiderlin as a potential target – but he has recently left Old Trafford for Everton in a £22 million move.

Ever-present

The central midfielder had moved to Hull from Tottenham for £8 million in the 2014 and has made 104 appearances for the club.

He had played every match so far this season, until new Hull boss Marcos Silva left him out in Saturday’s 3-1 over Bournemouth.

Enticing

Livermore will have his head turned by the prospect of a Baggies move.

Hull are fighting in the relegation zone, whilst Pulis’ team, surprisingly, are sitting comfortably in 8th position.

With a Europa League spot on the horizon, Livermore may well push for this move and bid ado.

Money to spend

West Brom purportedly have money to spend this window, as they look to avoid a deadline scramble.

They’ve had bids for Schneiderlin and Jeff Schlupp, the now Crystal Palace winger, rejected and are eyeing up a host of targets with financial backing adding sustenance to their ambitions.
