Moses Odjer: Why has Liverpool shown an interest in the Ghanaian starlet?

Youngster Moses Odjer is earning good reviews in Italy.The 19 year old player is currently on loan with Salernitana in the Italian second tier.The central midfielder is a product of Tema Youth in Accra.

He joined Catania from Tema youth in 2014.

Moses Odjer came through the ranks at Tema Youth. He made his senior debut for Tema youth at the age of 16. He played two years with Tema Youth before moving to Italian Club Catania.

Moses Odjer was a member of the Under 20 team that won silver at the African Youth Championship and the World Cup team that won bronze in 2013.

He wasn’t called up by the Black Stars after the tournaments, but they gave him great exposure and that helped him earn a contract with Catania in Italy.


Key Strengths

Moses Odjer is an energetic youngster who can play either in central midfield or on the wings. His isn’t tall but he compensates that with pace and a quick feet which helps him dribble through players very easily.

Moses Odjer cannot only help distribute passes but he can also score goals.

He was able to score two goals in his 10 games for the Under 20. He is just 170 cm tall.



Moses Odjer has played 11 times for Catania in the Serie B in the 2014/15 season and he didn’t score any goals.
