According to the player himself, Wayne Rooney will remain at Manchester United for the foreseeable future.
Reports have flooded over the past few days speculating over the England international’s future with Chinese Super League sides reportedly interested in landing his signature.
His agent reportedly flew to China to speak with several Chinese Super League sides.
The striker released a statement confirming his intention to remain at Old Trafford:
“Despite the interest which has been shown from other clubs, for which I’m grateful, I want to end recent speculation and say that I am staying at Manchester United. I hope I will play a full part in helping the team in its fight for success on four fronts. It’s an exciting time at the club and I want to remain a part of it.”
