There are rumors floating around surrounding Sturridge’s future at Liverpool. The England international has reportedly been linked with a January move to Italian giants AC Milan.

As reported by the Daily Mirror:

“AC Milan have emerged as surprise suitors for out-of-favour Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge, according to reports.

The striker is behind Brazil’s Roberto Firmino in the Anfield pecking order and could look to leave Liverpool in search of regular game time.

And Calcio Mercato say the San Siro is a possible destination for Sturridge, who is yet to find the net in the Premier League this term.

It is claimed Klopp has already given Sturridge’s exit the green light and the England hitman could join Milan in January.”

Wise move?

With Sturridge warming the bench and Klopp giving him the green light to depart, I think this rumor may have some legs.

AC Milan have been linked with a good number of forwards recently, and Sturridge seems to be a ready-made and available target for a January move.

Is it wise for Liverpool to let him go? Maybe not, especially when it comes to squad depth and rotation.

But for Sturridge, it’s a different matter.

The man is a quality striker on his day, and for someone trying to fight for a place as a starting forward for England, he needs games and unfortunately Sturridge isn’t really getting that under Klopp.
